If you have been paying attention to the night sky, you know that the Full Moon is upon us.  Shining bright she lights up Earth with her Moon glow.  This is a very powerful Full Moon. Hold onto your emotional and physical self. This Capricorn Full Moon occurring on July 8, 2017 at 9:06 p.m. PDT, is conjunct powerful Pluto opposing both the Sun and fiery Mars in Cancer.  This combination reminds me of the Indy 500 car race when the announcer gives the go-a-head for the start of the cars:  The mighty roar of the engines fused with the driver’s singular drive (Sun) to beat the opposition at any cost (Pluto) by staying emotionally “cool” (Moon) and physically (Mars) out maneuvering the opponents:  The winner at the pentacle of their career (Capricorn).

The sign Capricorn is ruled by taskmaster Saturn, which has a need for structure, organization, and discipline.  The Moon is receptive, nurturing, and deals in feelings, habits and responses.  Not the best placement.  If you find your emotions getting away with you during this Full Moon, you may want to first honor those emotions (Moon), then take responsibility for them (Saturn), and finalize by working out a plan of action to express them in a safe, emotionally secure response.

Pluto in Capricorn conjoins this Full Moon gives an added power punch to bringing up unresolved, hidden under the carpet, powerful emotions that you may have not have wanted to (or could) resolve in the past.  This may be the time you revisit whatever deeply hidden, carefully guarded emotional secrets you have kept locked away in your psyche.

Both the Sun and Mars are conjunct in the Sign of Cancer.  This is not an easy placement for either the Sun or Mars.  Cancer is a water sign ruled by the Moon giving rise to deep emotions and is deeply rooted in “the other”.  The Sun is where we shine our light for the World to see, our ego, vitality, selfhood: The Sun serves the self, Cancer serves others.  Mars, a fire sign, is in its fall in Cancer making it a very uncomfortable experience…a “cooling” effect…so-to-speak as it is in a water sign.  Mars is all about action, assertion, aggressive, that place where we use our greatest energy.  This may be the time to illuminate (Sun) where you are expending your greatest energy (Mars), and how that may well be playing into the unresolved issues from the past.  What is it that you spend so much energy defending?

If the oppositions weren’t enough, both sets square off with Jupiter in Libra creating a T-Square. Libra is all about partnering:  How you relate to others and creating harmony and balance.  Jupiter is the planet of expansion, finding truth and meaning, faith and optimism.

Whatever it is that you have spent so much time and energy, holding onto so closely, guarding and protecting needs to be resolved.  Have faith that once you acknowledge, honor and take responsibility for resolving it, and letting it go, that you will begin to, and be able to, move forward.  “Three things cannot be long hidden:  The Sun, The Moon, and the Truth.”    Buddha
