We’re making the shift into spring as the mutable watery Pisces New Moon makes her debut on March 17, 2018, at 6:11 a.m. PDT in the last decan degree at 26° Pisces 53″.  The conversion to Daylight Savings Time has occurred, and the Spring Equinox is days away.  But before we launch ourselves into the fiery energy of Aries, we must surrender ourselves to the watery emotional and spiritual depths of Pisces.  The water triad, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are symbolized by their ability to navigate the vast currents of emotions and intuition in various degrees.  Compassionate, sensitive, mystical and dreamy it is easy to see why the ultimate goal of Pisces is universal love.  This New Moon summons us to be receptive to the energetic guidance that is now within reach.  “Do not be like the cat who wanted a fish, but was afraid to get his paws wet.”  William Shakespeare

Maneuvering the water-logged channels of this Pisces New Moon in its conjunction to Chiron, the wounded healer brings an opportunity to heal our deepest grief.  But before we can do that, we must take the sacred journey deep into the ethereal realm of spirit, open our heart to healing and reawakened to our gifts. We can’t restrict the waters of Pisces, we must experience it, and we must yield to it. Pluto and Jupiter both work quietly in the background providing an opening that supports our metamorphosis.  Jupiter brings in further watery support while retrograding in truth-revealing Scorpio, providing tools to dig deep into our psyche with penetrating insight while Pluto, ruling deeply hidden, repressed aspects of the self in Saturn-ruled Capricorn requires that it be brought to the surface.  These powerful insights fuel our transformation.  In the finalizing stages of the zodiac, the Phoenix rises from the ashes:  Self-discovery is attained.  However, Mars shoots off the last fiery arrow in his Sagittarius quiver, challenging our vision as he soars into Capricorn a few hours later.  We can overcome any vulnerabilities that arise:  Water extinguishes a fire.  “All you have to do is pay attention: lessons always arrive when you are ready.” ~ Paulo Coelho

For New Moon intentions the Moon goes void at this New Moon until it ingresses Aries at 11:57 a.m. PDT.  Pisces loves rituals.  Consider utilizing some of the following for making New Moon Intentions: A candle (Sea-green or Dark Blue), some essential oils: Oils of Frankincense, Myrrh, and Ylang Ylang are a nice combo, as is Clary Sage, Neroli, and Ylang Ylang.  A fresh bowl of salt water.  Sing, dance, pray.  Utilize water energy to free the soul, emotions, or psyche and go with the flow!  “The seat of the soul is there, where the inner and outer worlds meet.” ~ Novalis
