The Wheel of the Year has turned again. September 22, 2017, at 1:02 p.m. PDT, marks the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere: The length of day and night are equal when the Sun enters 0 Degrees Libra, the sign of balance! The season is witnessing the changing of the guards from summer on its way to winter. It’s the time of the harvest. A time of gathering. The changing of the seasons. The trees and plants begin to shift their energy down into their roots in preparation for winter.
Fall is a time to assess the goals you set for yourself in January. You planted the seed. The seed sprouted. It blossomed. Now is the harvest. If the opportunity for any of your goals to come to fruition has been lost, then let it go. Assess why you missed the mark by following nature: Go deep within. Sit within your sacred witness and awakened the presence within. Be receptive. Write down what comes to you, or better yet keep a journal.
Aromatherapy is a powerful ally for inner work. Use the following recipe in your diffuser for your deep inner work for the Autumn Equinox:
- Blend 1/8 cup of carrier oil (almond oil or olive oil is good)
- 4 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 4 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
- 4 drops Clary Sage Essential Oil
Blessings that you may reap the bounties of your harvest in all its abundance.
